Description:

A species of caudiciform plant in the family Apocynaceae that is native to the Cape Provinces and KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. A common name is Hottentot bread due to the milky, somewhat sweetish flavour of the edible root which is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use. The thin vine branches may reach a length of more than 13 ft, and climb on any type of available support.

The vines may be trimmed for shipping.

Likes bright indirect or direct light, what when dry.

Shipping:

All plants will be shipped bare root (without a pot). 

Priority shipping flat rate - $16.50 for the first plant and $2.50 for each additional plant.

Heat pack used in colder months - Additional $5

Healthy arrival is guaranteed.  Slightly damaged or yellowish leaves are a natural process and no grounds for return.  If a heat pack is recommended but not purchased,  we cannot guarantee a healthy plant.
