Description:
Native to central Mexico. A spineless cactus defined by the presence of three to seven (usually five) pronounced vertical ribs which define the cactus' shape when young (the genus name "astrophytum", literally, "star plant", is derived from the resulting star-like shape). As the cactus ages, more ribs may be added and it becomes more cylindrical in shape, growing up to about 2 ft 4 in – 3 ft 3 in tall and 4–8 in in diameter.
Care:
Likes bright direct light, and water when completely dry.
Shipping:
Unpotted Plants - Priority shipping flat rate - $16.50 for the first plant and $2.50 for each additional plant.
Potted Plants - Priority shipping will be calculated by weight and zip code.
Heat pack used in colder months - Additional $5
All plants, unless in a decorative pot, will be shipped bare root (without a pot). All plants in decorative pots will be packaged separately but sent together to avoid damaging the plant.
Return Policy:
Healthy arrival is guaranteed. Slightly damaged or yellowish leaves are a natural process and no grounds for return. If a heat pack is recommended but not purchased, we cannot guarantee a healthy plant. If a decorative planter is broken during shipping, you can return the plant for a full refund, or keep the plant and a partial refund will be given.
